The match was at Nou Camp with more than 90000 maniacs watching the game.You hardly hear anything except roaming and screaming of the fans.The atmosphere like no other and the teams also like other.Manchester were a weaker side compared with Bayern. Giggs and Scholes suffered a man suspensions due to respective Red cards.So lack of players in mid-field.

Manchester had already won the League and the FA cup and This was the last on remaining in their bag.The game starts after a few performances and national anthems.Both teams hand shaking(with no intentions though)and taking their position.Referee blows the whistle and the match starts.The game started on the side of Bayern.Just the game touched the first 5 minutes Basler with a fine free kick guiding the ball to the net.Bayern Munich up by one Goal.All manutd maniacs just petrified.The match seemed more like ended rather than started.Nobody would have thought Manchester to win in their wildest dreams.But If you were a true Manchester you would say lets finish the game and they did.United didn’t lose hope and they tried even more harder.The game was all of tension.The tension was balancing on both the sides.Bayern were more tensed more holding their lead rather than increase it The half ending with Munich’s on lead.But the next half was on United’s side.The attacks and the moves of united were increasing.The crossing were getting more accurate and players running out more.They we running every where on the pitch.The wingers were falling back when ball moved back,the defenders getting front when they attacked.The second half was only Manchester United.They would have hit more shots on target that night compared to any matches.But khan was too stubborn to let the ball pass him.The more united attacked the Munich the more they were exposing themselves.But united had just one thing in mind”Never die”.And thats what kept them going to the last second.Ferguson brought his substitutes in the game.Teddy Sheringham(67 minute) and Solskjaer(81 minutes).The combination was working and they made many moves around striking the ball.Then game moved to 80 minutes and still no goal.But maniacs kept on trying.The game finally moving to extra time.Can any one possibly think of winning when you are 1-0 down?.You can only think for an equilizer rather than winning.3 minutes of added time to settle the match.That was enough for United.On the start of the 90th minute the ball was on united’s half.The game building up and ball was on Munich’s territory until the ball was thrown outside by the defenders.Gary Neville taking the long throw inside the penalty area.The ball again thrown out by the Munich defender and this time for a corner.Schmiechel up in front.Beckham quickly running towards the corner. Just watch the brillance of David Beckham.He takes 5 seconds to actually set himself and hit the ball.The ball moves on the second post , get a touch by Yorke,the Munich player tries to clear but the ball gets to Keane.Keane hits the ball towards Sherigham and Sheringham guides the ball into the net.What a moment!!.The goal was not the most fabulous one but you can never have so much emotion in that goal.Manchester leveled themselves in extra time.Munichs went mad.They couldn’t see where did the ball end up in the goal.But the goal thats all counts.The game started and quickly United gets the ball in possession.Moving quickly the ball is passed to Solskjaer and with a few trickery wins a corner.The same man for the task.This was the last attack that they could do damage .Beckham running towards the corner and again with a very little time he hits the ball into the penalty area.The cross was so inch perfect that Sheringham received directly on his head losing his marker.The ball just bounced on Solskajaer’s leg and striked the ball to the top corner.Oh the goal.The winning goal.The goal came at such a time when referee was about to blow the whistle.United first time up in the game and that also for the last minute and the goal that all mattered the most.United went on celebrating the goal and they finally won the match.Every Manchester fan jumping on their feet.Any heart patient would have been under serious condition if he was watching this match.Schmiechel,the captain was given the trophy.The holy Grail of European football.Every cup an English Team can win was done by Manchester United.
