Anelka signs a new deal with Bolton

Nicolas Anelka signs a new deal with Bolton till 2011.

Not very happy news indeed. For those who havent been following the transfer speculation, there were rumours that N Anelka was likely to join Manchester United this season due to the lack of a “Target Man”, and the inability of Louis Saha to stay fit for 2 months in a row.

Hence sir Alex was eying Nicolas to be a perfect substitute for his “damaged heros”. Apparently Ferguson missed out this time. It seems like United, more often than not, have problems signing players from within the EPL, unlike those from elsewhere.  Lets just hope Bolton rot at the bottom half of the table this season :p

On a more positive note, Wazza is getting better all the time, and may recover from his Metatarsal injury sooner than expected. Furthermore, Louis Saha is all set to return to first team action this Saturday, so the striker department is starting to get settled(dont forget, Sir Alex has a certain highly talented, fully fit striker at his disposal as well).

I guess the Anelka move was just not meant to be, I never really liked him anyways. He’s ex-Arsenal too ;)

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer retires

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

A Manchester United legend, and one of my favourite players, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has retired due to recurring knee problems. The baby-faced assasin has become a part of United folklore after scoring the dramatic winner in the 99 UEFA champions league final in Barcelona.

In an long and illustrious career at Old Trafford, the striker, sometimes referred to as the Norwegian Alan Shearer, scored 130 goals in 360 appearances for the club. After sufferring what seemed like a career-threatening injury in 2002, he made a dramatic comeback last season, scoring 11 crucial goals and lifting the Premiership title.

He was expected to retire at the end of this season, but the recurring knee problems have kept him unfit through the pre-season, and has ultimately resulted in him hanging up his boots.

I leave you with highlights from that memorable game against Nottingham Forest, when Ole came off the bench to score 4 times!

Thank you Ole, we will miss you.

Manchester United 1-0 Tottenham Hotspurs

Nani scored a brilliant 25 yard strike and ensured United’s first victory of the season.

Real Madrid Signs Heinze

United’s star wingback Gabriel Heinze has finally moved out of the club after United agreeing with Real Madrid. Both the clubs have settled to an agreement which puts Heinze on a four deal with his new club.

Heinze had his future plans staying at premiership playing for Liverpool but Sir Alex made it sure that no united players joins the league rivals.Real Madrid have agreed to sign Heinze for as reported £8million.Gabriel Heinze will be playing over there with his former United striker Van Nistelrooy.Heinze is Real’s newest signings along with Arjen Robben who is said to joining the club for a massive $42million move for a 4 year contract. Heinze started playing for united three years back but now his place is occupied by Evra who was brought to United after Heinze suffering a foot injury.Since then he has moved out of first team squad.

Heinze’s hope to move at Anfield Shattered

United officially declared that Heinze’s move out of Anfield has been ruled out by Manchester United after FA arbitration panel’s decision on Monday.United looked very happy are making sure that Heinze was not making move to his club rivals.Initially its was declared by Gaby that he had a written permission which indicated and made sure that he could move at Liverpool if they made a £6.8million bid.But the FA panel declared this as useless as it was stated that the player was only allowed for  an international transfer.United also stated that the transfer was only possible if club agreed with the move.United’s Executive  David Gill was content man after panel making the decision. He replied saying that” we are pleased that panel has endorsed our case.”Phew on that makes sure that Heinze won’t be heading to our rivals with all premiership starting so bad for United. So people its now your time to make comments to whether Heinze’s moving out is really going to make any difference or are we losing a world class player.Make sure that you all united lovers comment on this one.

Manchester United v/s Manchester City

After two big draws, one home and one away the days for United are really getting bad for United.United are out with their majority of their players out of team and now news coming that Neville’s comeback may have delay due to injury problems.Rooney and Ronaldo out of team is being serving United a setback which they have to recover today. The top clubs have already taken the points from first day of EPL and its now time for United to make some statements.Derby matches are always action packed and with United in such conditions its making winning a more difference than playing.Lets hope that United wins the game with a better margin as top-half of premiership already filling up with big teams.United have only 2 points in their last two games with no goal difference to their stats.United all needs today is not just a win but also good goals from the match which will act a major boost to their morale.Lets hope Guys that United Hits Gold for at least today’s match.Wishing all luck (right i have with me) for United.See you guys later!!
