Manchester United 0-2 Coventry City

United’s winning week spoils off after a goal massacre at home losing to championship side Coventry City.

<>After winning last 4 games(especially the Chelsea one) the party finally comes over to an unexpected side.Come on atleast a defeat against a premier ship team would have been ok.Ferguson hoping a bit more from the young team. The match from start was infuriating  for us with maddening passes and tackles. No senior players in team with only Carrick and Brown in squad that to coming on substitution. No fascinations coming from young portugese flair,Nani as he too was in bad swing.Woeful shoots and mistime runs were all filled up in his 90 minutes.United’s  summer buy Anderson was also playing his Carling debut. He too was in crippled from and never looked dangerous. He wasnt anything unusual expect for few passes here and there.United had already eaten early goal in 27 minute and kept battling whole time.We still didnt eat any more until bewitching strike came from Misfud, the man who scored the first goal.He was one peak of his hat-trick but his the chance by an inch.Though his last effort came from a free kick chance his 2 goals were all the reasons for Coventry to rejoice for  night.United thrashed out from Carling Cup and the champion ship side through to next round.Nani and Anderson performance’s will force them to sit in extras until they have something to prove to Ferguson.                                                                                                                                                                     At end of game we all saw enraged Ferguson shouting but that wasnt going to get the damaged Carling revived.Ferguson now knows the flaws from his young side and players which he thought were reliable. This will help him what to expect from his team players.Just one silver line is out of hands and 3 still remaining is something not to be shy about. On a positive note United will play less matches now than other top epl teams .This  will give us a bit more time than remaining teams though many teams havent played their first team in Carling cup.

United 2-0 Chelsea

Manchester United beat Chelsea with two goals after Tevez making is debut goal for United.Saha scoring the second after United awarded a penalty on a Ben Haim tackle.United winning comfortably with just 2 points away from the leader Arsenal.United are right 2 in league table.

Sporting Lisbon 0-1 Manchester United

United winning over Sporting Lisbon in UFEA champions League match after beating the home side with a sole goal.United’s goal coming from the footy winger Cristiano Ronaldo after converting the goal from a perfect cross by West Brown.Match was needed to win to keep the momentum going.Though goals are not flowing right for United but still are managing for a win.Rooney had a decent comeback for the game.Ferguson happy with this one. Results was all that mattered again so no dissapointment for lack of goals.United can get there morales boosted and then bombard goals.

Manchester United 1-0 Sunderland

Manchester United beat Sunderland by a solitary goal in a close match at Old Trafford, on Sunday.

Saha scored the winning goal after coming on as a second half substitute.

Here is the Saha goal:

Manchester United 1-0 Tottenham Hotspurs

Final Score August 18 2007

With long 7 matches filled up in today’s fixture a full entertainment day.All matches almost at same time expect for AstonVilla and Newcastle. All matches up to mark.Just a little disappointed with Sunderland’s performance.Middlesbrough showing impressive performance in spite of heavy injury problems in the team.Mido playing in the team proved very vital today as he scored the equalizer for Boro’.Portsmouth crashing Bolton at home while Reading making a surprising win over Everton.Tottenham taking all their anger over Derby winning with biggest margin for the day while Hammers wins over Birmingham in their away match.Day’s last match Newcastle and Villa was the only draw in the seven matches.A  scoring fixture for today with more than 2 teams scoring more than three goals and average of more than 2 goals in very match.A total of 16 goals and 4 cleansheets coming from 7 matches. Quite surprising compared to last season boring draw. The Final score ends like this :

Birmingham City 0-1 West Ham United

Fulham 1-2 Middlesbrough
Newcastle 0-0 Aston Villa
Portsmouth 3-1 Bolton

Reading 1-0 Everton
Tottenham 4-0 Derby
Wigan 3-0 Sunderland

A very high-energized day for me.Now some time to sleep.Tomorrow not to miss with United with such an urgency to win and that to against their Derby rivals.Lets get prepared for tomorrow.

United held back by Portsmouth

United once again drawing match second time in Premiership after a two red cards shown both team’ players.United were up ahead in 16th minute by Paul Scholes scoring the their sole goal for the match.United shared maximum amount of possession in first 45 minutes controlling game really well.United ended the first half period with 1-0 lead.Second half was more exciting then compared to first half.

Portsmouth hitting more hard on United with many efforts coming to close. Then on 53 minute Portsmouth scored a fantastic goal from Benjani. This was last goal of the match but not last of the day’s actions. Two red cards coming up in last 10 minutes with Muntari sent off for two warnings and Ronaldo for some infamous actions on 85th minute.United Boss was not at all happy with Ronald’s gesture and treated as overwhelmed one.The game ended with much of drama rather then Action which i was looking for.United Boss really furious with Ronaldo and with the officials too.Ferguson not at all happy, quotedCristiano is responsible for falling into trap of intimidation, which has happened to him few times.I’ve seen the replay and there’s nothing conclusive,my take is that he was provoked and he has fallen for it.”

Final Score: Manchester United 0-0 Reading

Reading held Manchester United to a draw in a tight match at Old Trafford.Manchester United v Reading

With more than 67% of possesion throughout the match, Manchester United clearly dominated the match, but a spirited Reading side refused to give in.

The match started without any of the newly transfered players in the starting 11. In fact Nani was the only one among the four to even have been a member of the squad.

An out of touch Rooney played upfront on his own, and was easily dealt with by the two Reading Center-Backs. A rather drab first half finished at 0-0 with Rooney limping off the pitch.

He was replaced by Nani, who showed quite a bit of flair and was among the few players who ever looked like scoring. As the second half wore on, United picked up their pace and attacked relentlessly.

During the 51st minute, after a scramble in the box, the ball fell to Patrice Evra, who managed to mis-kick the volley and with it, arguably the best chance of the match.A few minutes later, United got a free kick just outside the box - Giggs managed to scrape the outside of the right post - just missed.

United kept on pressing, and Reading had virtually no posession during the latter part of the second half. Later, in a surprising move, John O’Shea was brought on and he played upfront as a striker. He could have scored just a couple of minutes after coming on, but his shot was straight at the keeper.

Doyle was substituted by Kittson, who louned at Patrice Evra, taking out his legs and was consequently sent off by referee Rob Styles. Reading still had 10+ mins and added time to hold on with only 10 men, and United looked like they could score any minute.

In a fantastic display of defensive skills, discipline and concentration, the Reading defenders did their best and managed to keep a rampaging United team out of their goal.

During the final moments, as the 4 minutes of extra time were coming to an end too, a rash tackle outside the box managed to win United another free kick. This was going to be the Red’s last chance, and Ronaldo beat the wall and the keeper, but beat the post too by a couple of yards.

In the end Steve Copple’s defensive tactics proved to be successful as Reading held on, albeit by the skin of their teeth.

Final Score: Manchester United 0-0 Reading
